2012 Yearbooks

2012 yearbooks have been printed|collated and distributed to local tackle shops and ticket agents.

They are also available by post using (cheque payable to “Saltaire Angling Association” with a Self Addressed Envelope to the General Secretary see:contacts)

Sales over the internet are not available.

2011 Yearbooks available 8th January

These are being distributed to tackle shops and ticket agents on Saturday 8th January.

There were a number of reasons for the late distribution, including that bane of all humans. That four letter word “WORK”

They should be available in the afternoon.

Matches are planned for both the River Aire and Leeds-Liverpool canal on Sunday 9th. The river match is expected to use the bottom length. The canal match, which is more sensitive to the weather in that the canal is frosen and depends how much of a thaw takes place to allow the ice on the canal to be broken. It proved impossible to break the ice last Sunday 2nd.

Dec 26 – Canal and River matches cancelled

The canal is thickly iced
The river has ice at the edges, floating chunks floating down the centre
and in some places, particularly near Baildon Bridge quite a thick layer of surface ice.

Dec 19 – canal match abandoned

Severe icing on the canal boats length and only three people showed up.

Dec 18 – Saturday Pike match cancelled

The ice has not cleared sufficiently to run the pike match planned for Saturday 18th December. Some members may be fishing for pike between the ice flows.
